Meet Our StaffTo view each employees bio, please click on the image.Kathleen Jalae-Brown, who has been a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, opened Massage Therapy Clinic in 1997 with her focus being on a very result oriented therapeutic massage. By 2006, the business expanded to include a full menu of skin care treatments, waxing and hair design services. The staff at Massage Therapy Clinic combines their skills to offer you the very best in personalized service.Our massage therapists’ goals are to assist their clients in achieving optimum health through reduced anxiety, enhanced relaxation and injury recovery. They specialize in Swedish and deep tissue massage, injury treatment, and pregnancy massage. Our licensed skin care therapists approach skin care with a holistic integrated philosophy. They believe the skin is a mirror of all the external and internal influences from our body and treat the skin appropriately to provide the most valuable results to each client. Our skin care therapists believe education is the key to healthy skin and offer their expertise generously to all clients.

Client Intake Form RequirementIf this is your first appointment, we have included our client in-take form here on our website which may be downloaded, completed and brought in with you at your appointment in order to save time on the day of your appointment. We also recommend that our pre-existing Clients feel free to complete this intake form if they are aware of any changes to their contact information and/or health conditions. Clients may simply bring this form into our office at their next appointment so information may be updated. Treatment Related InformationThe massage therapists and licensed skin care therapists at Massage Therapy Clinic are trained in a variety of different techniques. We will consult with each client prior to your treatment to ensure that we meet your unique needs and goals. Our skin care treatments exclusively utilize the Bella Derma Microdermabrasion and Eminence Organic Professional Product Line which deliver amazing results. Our licensed skin care therapists receive comprehensive training in the proper use of each professional product and believe the Eminence line to be an industry leader in quality skin products. The entire Eminence product line is available for purchase at Massage Therapy Clinic. Cancellation PolicyYou may cancel an appointment with no charge anytime before the close of business the day prior to your appointment. Same day cancellations will be charged $25.00; and if you do not show, or fail to cancel, you will be charged the full service price scheduled. Please note, when scheduling appointments online or when calling in for a first visit service, a credit card will be required to secure the appointment. To cancel an appointment, you must contact the Massage Therapy Clinic by phone.Late Arrival PolicyIf you arrive late for an appointment, you may lose this time in your session without refund. The therapist will extend your session as long as time permits.Membership ProgramTherapeutic treatments are most effective when performed on a regular basis so our Membership Program continues to be the most popular and economical way to provide our clients with therapy as often as they like. Membership may be purchased with a six or twelve month contract that is automatically billed on the 1st day of each month at a rate of $49.00 and our clients may visit our clinic anytime during that month for a 1-hr. massage or 1-hr. facial using their prepaid benefit. Members also enjoy additional massage or facials sessions at our low membership rate vs. the regular published price for services. Please be sure to ask our Office Staff for more details. Payment MethodsMassage Therapy Clinic accepts Visa/MasterCard/Discover, checks and cash. Payment must be rendered at time of service. Although it is not expected, some clients choose to leave a gratuity for the therapist which can be done at time of payment. Service Hands-On TimeAll of our outlined therapy session times include 5-minutes of consultation and 5-minutes of dress time. Waxing PricesWaxing prices listed are base prices. Prices may be adjusted if excessive time is required to perform the service. Waiver of LiabilityIt is the Client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any pre-existing medical conditions or limitations of treatment and to update any medical changes in their profile. The Client accepts responsibility for any risks they have been advised about associated with their service and understands they must inform the therapist if they feel any discomfort during the session. The Client understands the MTC staff is not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat physical or mental illness, and that nothing said in the course of the session should be construed as such. MTC shall not be liable for any injuries or any damage to any Client or Guest, or the property of any Client or Guest, or be subject to any claim, demand, injury or damages whatsoever. MTC shall not be responsible or liable to Client’s or their Guests for articles damaged, lost or stolen in or about MTC, or for loss or damages to any property including, but not limited, to automobiles and the contents thereof.
What to Expect pedicure

At the Massage Therapy Clinic, we want to ensure that each time you visit; you totally enjoy a relaxing and stress relieving session. This page will help you understand what to expect when you come to see us. Before Arrival: If you have never received a professional massage therapy session, we want you to know what to expect on your first visit. For your convenience; the day prior to your appointment our office staff will call to confirm your scheduled time and answer any questions you may have. Upon your arrival, our front desk staff will greet you and ask for your Client Intake Form, which may be downloaded here on our website and completed at your convenience before your appointment, OR you may fill out this Form in our office. Our Client Intake Form simply asks for your records regarding medical history, past or present injuries, and other physical conditions or limitations we should be made aware of. Your massage therapist will then greet you and take you to your treatment room for a private consultation. During Your Visit: Your spa-like treatment room has a comfortable heated massage table covered with a soft blanket and fresh clean sheets. A chair and a small tray on a table for your personal belongings are also provided for your use. Your therapist will review the Client Intake Form with you. They will ask you about the reason(s) you need a massage, and any specific areas in which you are experiencing pain or soreness that you would like addressed during your massage.Your massage therapist will leave the room and wait outside while you disrobe all clothing but your underwear. Some clients prefer to remain partially clothed which is also acceptable. Once disrobed, you will lie on the massage table, under the blanket and top sheet. Your therapist will give you a few minutes for this process and will knock on the door to ask if you are ready before entering your room.You will always be draped with the blanket and top sheet during your massage session and an additional blanket is available upon request. Your massage therapist will ensure that your modesty is respected at all times and will only uncover the part of the body they are working on.You can expect a quiet tranquil environment during your massage. The massage table is heated and padded beneath the blanket and sheet. There will be relaxing music playing, unless you request otherwise, with no outside distractions.Before beginning the session, your therapist will ask you to let them know if, at any time during the session, a technique they are using is uncomfortable. Throughout the session your therapist will ask if you are receiving too little or too much pressure. Depending on your specific needs, your therapist will perform a customized full-body massage or focus on the specific parts of your body that you have requested. We highly encourage our clients to feel free to ask any questions they may have during the session. Massage Therapy uses only high quality massage creams and lotions during your treatment.Upon Completion: As your massage therapy session comes to an end, your therapist will discuss with you any continued therapy plan which would be beneficial for you. They will leave the room so you may re-dress. Your therapist will meet you back at the front desk area. Please remember that our massage therapy sessions include up to 5-minutes for consultation and 5-minutes at the end for you to re-dress.
